There are certain life skills that are foundations to success in life, that help our children grow up to lead productive lives and have enjoyable, fulfilling relationships. The question is which Life Skills allow us to thrive and live well with others in our neighbourhood and in our world? AND How do we know when we’ve mastered them?
Parents are already primarily sharing life skills with their kids. However, since many educators and parents report feeling overwhelmed and economic and social unrest in the world indicate that we need a lot of life skills training, is there a way to make learning these skills easier?
Listen in to learn about:
- the two assignments of our Mandatory Curriculum: to survive and commune with others
- some foundation life skills to develop like financial literacy, safety and personal care, interpersonal skills and conflict management, and organization
- how to dialogue with your kids and seek the help you need
- how to have a life-long growth mindset versus guilt and shame: learn together, start where you are, be kind and compassionate with yourselves
